FAQs
Q: What are your hours?
A: Mon-Fri 12-8, Sat 12-9, Sun 1-7
Q: Do you do piercing?
A: NO
Q: Do you accept walk ins?
A: We offer walk-ins on Saturday and Sunday through the summer months. Walk-ins are always on a first come, first served basis.
Q: How can I make an appointment?
A: PRINT OUT the design or applicable references you would like and come on down. Showing us images on your phone is problematic and printer ink is expensive. Appointments need to be made in person to put a deposit down. This will hold the slot and be applied to the final price. One shot tattoos carry a $50 deposit. Multi-session work has a $100 deposit. $50 goes towards the first session and the other $50 is applied to the last. If you cancel your appointment Deposits are non-refundable. You can always reschedule but we need 48 hours notice so we can rebook the spot. Rescheduling must be done by phone. If it is an emergency please just keep us in the loop because we would much rather make a nice tattoo then take your deposit. The drawing/design process is always free but you won’t see the design until the day of the tattoo. ( In the case of long distance more than an hour, we can discuss other options )
Q: What about underage tattooing?
A: The child must be at least 16 with a state or federally issued photo ID. Parent or legal guardian must Have a state or federally issued photo I’d that has either matching Last name or address. Additional proof may be asked for at anytime. Guardian must be present at time of appointment set up as well as during at least the beginning of the procedure.
Q: How do consultations work?
A: Consultations are casual and carried out while Tattooers are working. This isn’t TV. Consultations are always welcome and free. Come in anytime during normal business hours and let’s talk. Prices are quoted based upon how much work there is to be done and appointments need to be made in person.
Q: How do you base your pricing?
A: Single session or “one shot” tattoos carry a piece price to be determined after consulting with an artist. Multiple session work is billed hourly ($175 per hour for regular multi session work and $200 per hour for cover up work). This is the most fair way to get large work. You only pay for what gets done and we only get paid for what we do.
Q: Do you do coverups and how do we get started?
A: YES! Come on down and let’s talk about it. This makes it easier to work out the details and appointments must be made in person anyway. If you would like to expedite the process this is what you’ll need to know…
– The cover up will need to be at least 2 to 3 times the size of the offensive tattoo in almost all cases.
– The cover up will need to be full color in almost all cases.
– Have someone take a picture of the offensive tattoo and print it out to bring with you as the first point of reference.
– Come up with a list of things that you would rather have tattooed on that space. The more on the list the better. Either one or a combination of things on the list could be a perfect starting point.
– PRINT OUT any applicable references to coincide with your ideas.
– Please don’t waste your time thinking about what will work as a cover up… This is our job.
– Lastly prepare to be flexible!
Q: How do i care for my new tattoo?
A: Most important is keeping it clean. Wash it with soap and water at least three times a day. Showers good, soaking bad. No swimming for the first week. Let it completely air dry and then apply whatever ointment you’ve chosen. Never apply too much ointment, if it looks wet it’s too much. Blot off excess. If you need to wrap it for any reason, always use household plastic wrap as scabs can not form to the bandage. It is however essential that the tattoo is very clean before wrapping. Never pick scabs. This will pull out the ink. After 5-6 days it will begin peeling. At this point switch to a fragrance free lotion. Also keep it out of the sun. Keep in mind these are only guidelines. Talk to your professional tattooer about specifics. Lastly if at any point you are nervous about the healing process, please go to your local trusted tattoo shop and ask for counsel. Doctors know medicine but they don’t know shit about tattoos!
